Last spring, I had the pleasure of making these and other photographs for Lost Pines Art Bazaar, purveyors of heirloom quality Persian rugs, fine antiques and bronzes based in Bastrop, Texas. The photographs were commissioned by Lost Pines so they could use them for advertising and to market their products and services in a variety of ways. We shot the photographs over the period of a couple of days at the store in Bastrop as well as a few other locations around town.
The detail in some of the rugs were truly exquisite!
Their rugs have found homes in a variety of settings, ranging from homes on the historical record to the local museum.
Lost Pines has a sister gallery - the Abri Gallery, which is home to some rare and collectible rugs. The gallery is just across the street from the Bazaar and open by appointment.
Lost Pines have since used the photos for their websites, social media presence and for advertising and publicity in various print publications like the Texas Monthly magazine and others (tear sheets below).
If you ever find yourself near Bastrop, you should definitely stop by the store for a visit and perhaps even pick up some tea or a beautiful rug.
