Erin + Jason: Engagment Portraits

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of my dear friends Erin & Jason.  A little bit before then, we hit the town and had some fun doing their engagement portraits.   They are a beautiful couple and looking at their photos, you feel like the rest of the world melts away for them when they are together.

One of their first dates was at Brasil & I'd like to say a big thank-you to the manager for letting us take the photos there.

So there was there was this holiday balloon at Discovery Green, taking people up for a bird's eye view of downtown Houston.  I don't like heights!  Not even from a building that is solidly anchored to the earth.  The idea had however popped into my head and I could not stop thinking of what the photos might look like, so I put on a brave smile and we went for it.  Here's the deal, this thing is a balloon which means it will move with the wind even if it is on a tether!!  Did I mention that I don't like heights?  Added to all that "gentle" motion - it was slightly tilted during our ride ... perhaps because of my camera bag :-) .   All of that to say this - it was a lot of fun, I love the photos we got and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
